Dear Parents,
As you know, the 2009-2010 school year is off to a busy start. We had beautiful weather for our
Walk-A-Thon and Golf Tournament. Visit our web site to see pictures and names of our golf
tournament winners.
The Northshore Mall has discontinued their “Evening of Giving”, normally held in November, and replaced it with “Northshore Mall Salutes the Community”. It is an opportunity for organizations to educate the community about themselves. St. John’s will have a table at the mall on Saturday, November 14th from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Members of our Student Council will assist me at this table. We want to tell the North Shore community what a great place we have here at St. John’s! If you are at the mall on the 14th, please stop by to say hello.
Thank you to those who have already sent in their raffle calendar money and stubs. Please remember that these make great gifts for those hard to buy for people. Hairdressers, paper boys or girls, teachers,
coaches or that Secret Santa gift can be taken care of with one of our Raffle Calendars.
We have held the first of our five Open Houses for new student registration for the 2010-2011 school year. If you know anyone interested in attending St. John’s next year, please refer them to our web site. Our upcoming Open House dates are listed in Admissions.

Walk-a-thon
The Walk-a-thon allows students to be active participants in the process of raising funds for their school. After
gathering pledges, students "Walk for St. John's" and in turn collect money for the number of laps they've walked.
This is one of the major fundraisers for the school.
Golf
Our Golf Tournament gathers our school and community members for an enjoyable day of golf and dinner while at the
same time raising money for a worthy cause: St. John the Baptist School.
